Sławnikowice [swavnikɔˈvit͡sɛ] (German: Kieslingswalde-Rachenau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zgorzelec, within Zgorzelec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the German border.[1] Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) east of Zgorzelec and 131 km (81 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
Ehrenfried Walther von Tschirnhaus was born in Kieslingswalde (now Sławnikowice in western Poland).
Georg Mohr (a Danish mathematician) died in Kieslingswalde.
